I invite you to join me.

You may have very different reasons from me, but the reason is not what is important, it is the process and the community support......

I am on board.

I too am working to bring some winter weight off now that I am 39 it is getting more difficult and I am feeling I need more sleep than usual and more restorative practice.

My intention for this 30 day enlightenment is to remain open and practice unconditional love in all aspects of my life. I wish to shower love on those around me and remember that I am here to serve.

Thanks for connecting with me on Twitter, otherwise I probably would never have found your blog. I'm a little behind your starting date, but I'm going to join you on your journey, starting now. Will let you know how it goes!

I, Jaya Mork, understand that I am undertaking a challenging, much-needed, and intense journey to enable physical, emotional, and spiritual self-nurturing. I understand that there will be days that this will be difficult; I will remain committed to my journey throughout those difficult days because I have support and because I care about my well-being. 30 days to feeling more at peace and more mentally balanced...it will not necessarily be linear. I will remember this on the days that feel like I am regressing. Namaste!

This is a great idea. I've wandered off track as of late and I've been trying to get back on track with my life with mediocre success. Do you mind if I use your structure to guide my own 30 day challenge on my website? I'll credit you for everything. I'd like to run it as a 30 day challenge on my own site, but I'll happily point each post to yours as the original concept designer. Let me know!

Florian said...

Asia - I'd be honored and flattered for you to share the 30 days with your readers and I look forward to reading your interpretations too! Thanks for asking permission and for pointing them to my site. Let me know how i can help. Deb

Namaste Deborah,

I'm sorry I missed your April benning but all things are always as they should be, so this must be the right time for me to start.

Thanks for giving me the impetus to move forward on the next leg of my journey.

I understand about losing focus having done it myself and the older I get the more difficult it seems to be to get back on the path.

Good luck to us all and I can see you enjoying your spa day getting there easily and effortlessly.

Om Shanti!

I am joining the journey as I finish my third mini (Costco) brownie....These past few months have begun to put a strain on my practice and studio. Attendance is inconsistent and yesterday I actually had to call the landlord to ask for rent modifications.
My "intention" is to return to a healthy balance for my body, mind and spirit. Teaching my students with love and presence, I resolve not to be drawn into the "drama" of this recession.
Namaste,
Nancy

Okay, I'm in. I'm a yoga teacher, but just last week finally got out of a part-time day job that was sucking the life out of me. I'm committing to 30 days of taking care of myself and reinvigorating my life through yoga. I look forward to seeing/feeling how the journey unfolds.

I understand that I am undertaking an exciting, creative, and intense journey to enable physical, intellectual and spiritual self-nurturing. I understand that there will be days that this will be challenging; I will remain committed to my journey throughout those difficult days because I have support and because I care about my well-being. 30 days to feeling more energized...it will not necessarily be linear. Hi Deborah. This came on a great day for me. I also am a yoga teacher/studio owner, I teach at least 4 classes a week (2 of which are very strenuous vinyasa classes) plus privates, plus a graphic design biz, plus...the rest of life:-) I have a vigourous home yoga practice and run and yet somehow I gain 20 pounds in the last 36 months and it is not cool!

I am thrilled to make this commitment to guiding my body back to a more healthy weight where I can feel "good in my own skin" again.

Looking forward to your inspiration and to sharing the journey with all who are participating.Namaste.

Hi, Deb, I am very interested in this challenge, and quite curious, I received this email and decided that I would join, now mind you I have no idea what yoga is like, but would like to give it a try I am 57 years young and over weight, and in need of much change...I feel just making this comment on this blog is a start..because I have never really blogged so I am ready to get started...Cynthia

I'm very excited about joining you. Your affirmation is so beautifully written, I've adopted it word for word and I'm having my yahoo! calendar e-mail it to me daily so I can renew my commmitment.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Namasté

Deb,
Here's my affirmation (I started out plagiarizing yours but found my own voice and wrote the whole thing on my own [private] blog):

I, ______, understand that I am undertaking an exciting, creative, and intense journey to enable my physical, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional well-being.

I understand that some days will be hard, but that all things worth doing are hard.

I understand that I will challenge my self-views, my old habits, and the force of inertia.

I am committed to this journey because I want to be a healthy, balanced, and happy human, wife, and mother.

I want to make no more excuses for not nurturing my whole self.

I have support of loved ones, so I know that even the most challenging days won't make me quit.

I am excited to discover what my mind, my body, my heart, and my soul have deep inside them at their best.

I am so ready for this! As the earth is pushing up new growth for the season, I too feel the urge to be reborn spiritually, emotionally, and physically. It is such an invigorating time and I want to make the most of it. It's always easier and meaningful to do this work with others. So hello and namaste.

YogaTales said...

Hear is my commitment statement...
I look forward to taking on the happy, creative aand important journey to avail myself of much needed phyisical, intellectual and spiritual self-nurturing. Because I have a habit of treating myself as a 'human project' I am planning to devote my time to treating myself like a 'human being.' I will limit set my daily activity to a reasonable amount of projects. I will slow down and read, meditate and rest often. The joy will be in the journey.

This couldn't come at a better time! :) I was linked here from a truly inspiring yogi friend (Tracy)
I am joining in! I am gearing up for a teacher training in October. I am also working insane hours at the office; anywhere from 8-12 hours and that has been my biggest obstacle to keep getting on my mat daily. This is the catalyst I need :)

Just discovered this, but I'm joining in! I'd like to blog about it, too, if that's okay (will link to you, of course). I've wanted to start a personal blog about yoga, especially before I start teacher training, and this will give me something to write about for 30 days! :)
